Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Tactics Confirmed Rainbow Six Tactics Operators
The nine Siege icons already on the briefing table.
Nine operators walked through the gamescom pre-brief. Until Ubisoft names the other six, these are the only people you should put in a Closed Test plan. This page is a scouting report, not a novel. Pair it with the roster board and the early operator tier list.
Ash
Ash is the readable hard breach. In Tactics she exists so a wall can vanish on a timer you chose. Bring her when the drone says the hinge is a trap and the drywall is the truth. Do not bring her as your only thinker; she is architecture. Pairing: Montagne to walk through the hole she just made, Doc if the hole was a mistake.
Sledge
Sledge is the other architecture operator. The hammer is slower to look at and more honest. He is the “I would like a door just here” button. On maps with many interior walls he is a campaign workhorse. On long exterior sightlines he is a luxury. Rest him after messy rooms if injuries persist into HQ.
Zofia
Zofia showed up in the brief as part of the iconic set, which usually means a kit with more than one answer: concussion, impact, a second chance. Until the Tactics version of her gadgets is listed, slot her as flexible entry. She is the operator you take when you refuse to guess whether a map wants loud or utility.
Twitch
Twitch is why recon is not only a floating drone with no name. Shocking a gadget before the Breach is the difference between a shield walking into a welcome mat and a shield walking into a room. If you skip Twitch, you need another intel plan. There isn’t one in the confirmed nine except “use the generic drone and pray.”
Nøkk
Nøkk is the admission that not every opening should be a firework. Quiet entries matter on hostage maps and on any shell where the first sound starts a timer you cannot see. She will be overrated by stealth fans and underrated by people who only watched the explosion cut. Practice her in the Closed Test on mission types that punish noise.
Glaz
Glaz is the trailer punctuation mark: a round that writes through more than one body because someone opened a lane. He is not a Breach stack player. He is the person who did not enter the room. If your four is all interior, you left his job on the bus. Give him a hole and a turn.
Montagne
Montagne is a portable wall. In a turn-based game that is almost unfair, which is why he will be in every sensible default four. He occupies the funnel so Ash and Sledge can exist. He is also slow, which means a mission that wants three simultaneous entries may leave him looking at a door you already finished. Use him on purpose, not as a mascot.
Doc
Doc is campaign glue. If operators can die for good, as IGN’s interview discussed, a stim is a strategic resource. If they only get injured, he still shortens the HQ bench time. Either way, a squad without a support plan is a squad that is one unlucky percentage roll from a restart. Beginners should read getting started and then put Doc in the fourth slot until they know why they are removing him.
Finka
Finka is tempo support. Adrenaline as a tactics tool is “everyone gets a better turn.” That can be a Breach amplifier or a recovery button after a bad opening. She does not replace Doc’s identity, but she can replace him in a four that already accepted more risk. Pair her with Glaz and Nøkk when you are playing precision instead of a site take.
Pairings worth stealing
- Ash + Montagne: hole, then wall.
- Sledge + Twitch: honest door, dishonest gadgets.
- Glaz + anyone who opens a wall: the trailer, as a plan.
- Nøkk + Doc: quiet room, living squad.
- Zofia + Finka: flexible entry, flexible recovery.
Copy those into the squad planner and the squad compositions page. Do not wait for the missing six to start practicing four-job coverage.
When a tenth operator is shown, they will get a section here. Until that screenshot exists, stop asking this wiki to rank Hibana.
