Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Tactics Rainbow Six Tactics at Gamescom 2026
Everything announced on Opening Night Live and in the press brief.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Tactics premiered during gamescom Opening Night Live on 25 August 2026. Geoff Keighley’s show introduced a turn-based, single-player Rainbow game from Ubisoft Paris. The official trailer followed on the Rainbow 6 channel. This page is the dated recap so guides do not have to keep repeating the press list.
The pitch in one paragraph
You are Six — Paul Bishop — commanding squads of four from a 15-operator Siege roster. Missions are handcrafted interiors with drones, destructible walls, and a synchronized Breach. Between missions you sit in HQ, train, and chase a conspiracy the trailer names as Keres. The game is scheduled for 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Listed price: $49.99. Ubisoft told IGN there is no in-game store and no live-service structure.
What the trailer showed
- A mix of work-in-progress gameplay and in-engine cinematics (on-screen disclaimer).
- Stacked entries, wall charges, a shield in a funnel, a long shot punching through bodies.
- VO from Six, talk of agency bombings, former operators being contacted.
- The PLAN / BREACH / ENGAGE cadence that how to play uses as its four layers (HQ sits around those three words).
