Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Tactics Rainbow Six Tactics Squad Compositions
Four names that cover four jobs, ranked as pre-launch templates.
Operator tiers tell you who is expensive to lose. Squad compositions tell you who to put in the helicopter. This page ranks four-person templates built only from the nine confirmed operators. Copy them into the squad planner and argue with them using mission types, not vibes.
Each template is scored on coverage (intel, entry, space, closer), map flexibility, and how badly injuries would break it. None of these are post-launch gospel.
S-comp — Loud reliable
Ash / Sledge / Montagne / Doc
Two ways through a wall, a shield in the funnel, a medic for the campaign. This is the default Breach class and the four you should take into a Closed Test before you get clever. Weakness: poor quiet options. If the brief is a hostage against a soft wall, swap Ash for Nøkk.
A-comp — Precision open
Glaz / Nøkk / Twitch / Finka
See, slip, disable, burst. Wins when intel is good and the map has a lane. Loses when you need two hammers and a door hold. Do not take this into an unknown shell on the world map. Take it after you have already died in that building once.
A-comp — Site control
Sledge / Twitch / Montagne / Doc
One honest door, gadget hate, a wall you carry, a stim. Slightly less explosion than the S-comp, slightly more adult. This is the bomb-site four until a trap operator is confirmed.
B-comp — Hybrid flex
Zofia / Ash / Montagne / Finka
Zofia is the unranked-feeling operator, so this four is “when the brief is a shrug.” You have entry, a second entry, space, and tempo. You do not have a specialist medic identity unless Finka’s kit covers it. Sit this behind the S-comp until gadget numbers exist.
B-comp — Quiet rescue
Nøkk / Twitch / Doc / Montagne
Hostage-first. Intel and a quiet body, plus the two people who keep a mistake from becoming a campaign hole. Weak on long sightlines. If Glaz is free and the prison map is all corridors, drop Montagne only if you enjoy living dangerously.
C-comp — Trailer cosplay
Ash / Glaz / Zofia / Sledge
Four people who want to be the main character. No shield, no medic, no Twitch. It will look like the reveal and play like a wipe. Listed so you can recognize it in your own squad building mistakes.
Bench rules that outrank the table
- If Doc is injured, Finka is the support you actually have. Do not invent a third medic.
- If both Ash and Sledge are down, your entry is Zofia or a prayer. That is why HQ rotations exist in HQ and training.
- If Twitch is down, Nøkk plus extra drone time is the patch, not “skip recon.”
- Never lock a four that cannot name its Breach in one sentence.
When the missing six operators land, this page will add a row, not rewrite the jobs. Jobs are stable. Names are not. For individual ranks, return to the operator tier list. For how Six picks which fire to fight, return to Paul Bishop.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Should I always run the S-comp?
For unknown maps, yes. For known hostage rooms, take the quiet rescue four. Flexibility is the point of fifteen operators.
Why is a trailer-like four ranked C?
Because it skips intel, space, and support — the jobs that keep a campaign alive after the cinematic.
Can I mix names from different comps?
Yes, if the four jobs stay filled. Use squad building as the rulebook.
