Operator Roster

The Rainbow Six Tactics roster is a 15-person board you never deploy all at once. Four go into the building. The rest train, recover, or sit empty if a mission goes badly. This page is the board. For personality and kit details on the shown names, use confirmed operators. For the person giving the orders, use Six.

Confirmed (shown at gamescom)

Press briefings and trailer identification, credited across GameSpot, Game Informer, and Xbox Wire:

OperatorLikely job in TacticsWhy they were shown
AshEntry / hard breachExplosive openings the camera can read
SledgeEntry / utility breachHammer as architecture, not a melee gimmick
ZofiaFlexible entryIconic attacker kit with more than one tool
TwitchIntel / disruptDrone-to-gadget line that sells recon
NøkkQuiet entryProof the game is not only loud Breaches
GlazPrecision / sightlinesThe sniper beat in the trailer
MontagneSpace / tankShield as a tactics “cover you carry”
DocSupportCampaign survival
FinkaSupport / tempoAdrenaline as a turn-economy tool

These mappings are commander translations, not copied Siege loadout screens. Gadgets will be rebalanced for turns. If Twitch’s shock drone becomes a once-per-mission gadget, she is still intel — just slower. Track changes in Updates.

Unconfirmed (six seats)

Ubisoft said 15. Nine are public. Six are not. Coverage speculated about fan-favorites such as Smoke, Hibana, or Dokkaebi. That is speculation. This roster table will gain rows when a trailer, Closed Test UI, or official site lists them.

Until then, leave mental slots open:

  • A trap / area-denial operator would change bomb site holds.
  • A hard-breach alternative would let you rest Ash or Sledge after injuries.
  • A hacker / intel alternative would let Twitch sit without blinding the team.

Do not build Closed Test plans that require a name you have not seen.

How gadgets change under a tactics camera

In Siege, gadgets are seconds. In Tactics, gadgets are turns. A hammer swing that is free in first person might cost the only action Sledge has before an enemy fires. A shield that is awkward in a ranked peek is perfect when you can spend a turn becoming a wall. Read how to play for the economy, then how to Breach for the one moment everyone acts together.

Skill trees, mentioned in IGN and Xbox coverage, mean the roster is not static. An Ash who invested in breach efficiency is not the same operator as an Ash who invested in survivability. HQ and training is where those forks happen.

Building the four from this board

Rules that survive missing names:

  1. One way to make a hole.
  2. One way to see or disable.
  3. One way to own a door.
  4. One way to keep people alive or finish the objective.

If your four fails a rule, you have a highlight reel, not a squad. The squad planner is a printable version of those rules. The roles page explains why “fragger” is not a job in this game.

Injuries, death, and the empty chair

The roster size only matters if people leave it. HQ recovery plus the permadeath discussion from IGN’s interview with Martial Potron and Elie Benhamou are why you should learn more than four names. A campaign that starts with Ash-Sledge-Montagne-Doc and never rotates will collapse the first time two of them are unavailable.

Use the operator hub as the index, this page as the board, and confirmed operators as the scouting report. When Ubisoft pins a tenth portrait, it will land here first.
